Harry Kane has never felt a title since shining at Tottenham Hotspur. For Mauricio Pochettino, Kane does not need a title to be considered the best striker.
Kane has scored 103 goals in 170 games in a Spurs uniform. Goals that led him to be the top scorer of the Premier League in the last two seasons.
After being barren in August, Kane is now productive again. The 24-year-old striker packed four goals in his last two games with Spurs, including two goals against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek.
So far, okay Kane’s performance has not quite brought the Spurs to the title. The best achievement is just delivering The Lilywhites as runners-up League Cup England in 2014/2015 and runners-up Premier League last season.
Not long ago, former Manchester United player, Phil Neville, rate Kane had to move to a more established club to be able to feel the championship trophy and prove himself as the best striker. However, according to Pochettino, it is not necessary.
“No doubt Harry Kane is one of the best strikers, I do not think he needs a degree to show that he is one of the best strikers,” said Pochettino, manager of Spurs, as reported by ESPN.
“All the players play to try to score, win, and ultimately win the title, of course. That’s everybody’s goal, but so far Harry Kane has shown that he is one of the best strikers in the world.”
“He is a great example for everyone because he is very focused on trying to improve himself, his motivation is very high, we need a player with that motivation If, like Harry Kane, you show that motivation, all can happen and no one maybe in football, “said the man from Argentina.
